The Godfather - September 1999.

Here are two pictures taken at our last family social. The picture of Hedwig and I is still on the roll of film in the camera.
I need to explain these photos. I had put on fancy dress so that I could show off with my new hat and my new sunglasses which I had bought to somewhat ward off the bright sun. This is the first pair of sunglasses I ever owned and the first hat I bought here in Australia. The suit is also still new, I bought it in 1993 and only wore it once before. The tie as well, I am in principal anti-tie and anti-suit. The bright red suspenders Hedwig bought that morning to complete the godfather outfit. I tell you all this so that you don’t get a false impression of me. I normally dress deliberately sloppy. The fancy dress worked…everyone had their laughs!
The sack of onions was a bargain our ever caring Mum picked up at the market. The organ belongs to Jessica, Susies second daughter. The oil paintings I made 15 years ago, when I attended night school for Portrait and Figure painting. The abstract painting on the other photo is from Rod. Susie has covered all her walls with his and my paintings.
Inge is staying with us for 4 days. Dennis is on nightshift and she is attending a course during the day. She is staying with us so that she is not alone at night.
Now I at least reciprocated partially with the photos – even if in fancy dress. Hedwig is not happy with her photo. She is a bit critical in that regard. But on the 2nd picture you can see her hands. To her left is Gerd behind him Robert then Linda. The right hand on the other side belongs to Dennis. If you want to see all of him you will have to beg Inge. She has a good photo of him. We have pictures of the entire family. Let me know if you can read zip files which won’t be too big to send.
