Mum (Oma) and Dad (Opa)'s 70th Birthday
(Considering the working bee is on Father's day weekend this year I thought this email needed to be translated! The last big formal working bee that I can remember was on the occasion of Mum and Dad's 70th Birthday. I didn’t realise it was so long ago. Could have sworn we had one more recently! Inge.)

Here we go! Dear Harald, as you can see, Inge has taken over. And like I already mentioned, I was not involved. My name is only used as a stick, to counteract possible doubters, a technique which is often used by middle management. But whatever...we are having a get together. How is unimportant!
Yesterday I sent you a letter (forwarded from Gerd) which came back to me with the message that they would try to send the email during the next 5 days! If you don't get it when you open your inbox, please let me know as soon as possible. It contains contact details for Gerd. You mentioned that you are still going to Paris.
Greetings, Peter.

Good day to you all.
Most of you may know but it appears that the formal night out at the Cuckoo
was not so popular with the birthday couple (remember Mum and Dad combined
their birthdays) and what would be very much appreciated is a WORKING BEE
at Heidelberg on Saturday 3rd June.
So ... armed with shovels and mops and brooms .... come along and give a
hand. The day is free format. Those who rise early are welcome in the
morning. Those who sleep in - come whenever you can.
But - regardless of when you arrive ... you will be expected to stay for
some good old family style partying at the close of day. If you can't make
it during the day - what the heck - come for the fun later in the day. (and
offer your services on some other day!!!!).
These are of course my instructions. The matriarch may have her own. She's
the boss - so whatever she comes up with goes!
AND PLEASE .... MAKE SURE THAT OFFLINE MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY GET THIS
MESSAGE BY PASSING IT ON!
Look forward to seeing you.
Inge.
